Looking for FUN this Saturday morning?

Try Counting Butterflies!  Beginners are welcome at Audubon's West Bay Butterfly Counts.

Be a citizen scientist and join Audubon's 11th annual Butterfly Count.   We help the North American Butterfly Association track the health of butterfly populations in Rhode Island.

Walks start at 10:00am and run until about noon.  Binoculars are helpful, but not required and photographs are greatly appreciated!
Walk leaders will help you spot and identify butterflies and provide a lot of wonderful information about these charismatic mini-fauna!

The locations of Audubon's naturalist-led counts are as follows.
  1. Audubon's Fisherville Brook Wildlife Refuge.  Leader: Jim Lewis Van Cleve
  2. Audubon's Powder Mill Ledges Wildlife Refuge.  Leader: Lisa Maloney
  3. Audubon's Newman Wildlife Refuge.  Leader: Eugenia Marks
  4. Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge.  Leader: July Lewis
